God has given us a model to follow, in order to be what He wants us to be, and that model is the person of Jesus Christ. We must first want to glorify God with our lives and realize that it is Christlikeness that will help us to do that. The humility of Jesus Christ is His most stunning attribute, and the sin of pride is probably the most detestable to God. Pride is a form of self-worship and is often manifested in the most subtle ways.

Convicting! Challenging! and life changing! The ROOT of most sin in a persons life is Pride. Humility is humbling and having a servants heart, the perfect example of who we desire to be like is Jesus. He is God and yet when He came to earth He humbled Himself to being a servant. When I thought about my self in that position, it made me realize how much I would have tried to exalt my self, trying to prove I was God to others. Ephesians says to 'count others as more important than yourself'. It is much harder to do than one realizes. But, mortifying pride and practicing humility and allowing God to do His work in me and you it can be possible. May God bless those who seek to mortify pride and humble themselves in obedience to God's Word, I pray this book challenges all who read it.
