Ladies of the Reformation
 | | | | by J. H. Alexander
Many are at least familiar with the names of the men whom God used as leaders of the Reformation, but we may be unaware that God also used a number of prominent women in unique ways to advance His truth and sustain His suffering people during those turbulent times. Here are fifteen women... among them princesses, queens, martyrs, and the wives of four great Reformers... whose lives were closely intertwined with the enormous upheavals of the Protestant Reformation.
Each of these short biographies makes for fascinating historical reading. Not only are we exposed to lesser known events of the Reformation as they unfolded in Germany, France, England, and the Netherlands, but we also see "history in the making from the perspective of real people living in those times. More importantly, we are privileged to witness the power of the true Gospel as it changed the personal lives of these women and ultimately altered the course of history."
